Budget Advocacy Planning Session

California Partnership members are gearing up for a vigorous budget advocacy campaign in the coming year!

Are your members and clients concerned about the state of our state? Worried about further cuts to public services and safety net programs?

Threats of billion-dollar deficits are generating calls for “Reform and Revenue, Reform and Revenue!”
Stay involved and lend your ideas at the next strategy session:
1) Wednesday, December 16.  9:30 am 405-14th Street, downtown Oakland

a. Plan press events for the first week in January 2010 to anticipate or respond to the Governor’s Budget Release (due by January 10, 2010.)
b. Updates on health care and immigration reform, and
c.
Information sharing about budget reform proposals.

2) Future meeting locations will rotate to include as many groups as possible;  Each quarter, at least one meeting will be held in surrounding counties, like SF, Contra Costa, Marin, San Jose, and people can participate by conference call.  They will always be the third Wednesday of each month at 9:30am
